Blueprint Pillar | Intuition & Connection

Welcome to Wellness Within, your monthly guide to holistic healing. Exploring all things whole-body wellness – mental and emotional healing, practical holistic health tips, spiritual tools, and ancient knowledge for being a peaceful, healthy, kind human being.

Wellness Within is a paid subscriber blog and a sacred space for deep, whole-body wellness – rooted in intuition, embodiment, and sustainable self-care. This is more than a blog. It’s a guiding light for those seeking a more connected, intentional, and embodied way of living.

In my last blog, Intuition and How the Body Speaks To You, we talked about learning the language of intuition. Today, we’ll deepen this topic and dive into actually building the relationship with your intuition.

Intuition is not something you “get” or “don’t have.” It’s something you cultivate. Like a muscle, it strengthens the more you use it. Your intuition is already speaking. The real practice is slowing down enough to hear it.

Why Safety Matters

Before we dive into practices, here’s an important truth: your intuition thrives when your nervous system feels safe.

When you’re in stress mode (rushing, multitasking, flooded by fear), it’s hard to tell what’s true and what’s just survival.

That’s why so many intuitive practices begin with grounding. You can’t hear the whispers if your whole body is bracing for impact.

Your nervous system softens not when it’s done enough, but when it feels safe enough to chill.

Reminder: Intuition Is Muscle Memory

The more you practice tuning into your inner guide, the more natural it becomes.

At first when working with your intuition, you may feel unsure like, “Am I making this up?”

No, no you are not. I believe you, and over time, you’ll start to believe you too. You’ll begin to notice some patterns, like when you follow your inner nudge, things will align. Becoming better aware of your signals is the key.

You may also notice when you ignore your intuition, you’ll often circle back saying, “I knew that!”

Have you ever second-guessed a decision to later find your initial, gut-response answer was correct 👀?

As annoying as it may be, let those moments be your teachers. These are guide-points of where to refine. Most importantly, they’re proof you already know how to listen.

Stay curious.

Simple Rituals to Build Connection

Here are a few accessible practices you can begin weaving into your days:

  • Journaling: Free-write for 5 minutes. Let yourself ask a question and see what comes through. Don’t censor or overthink. If you need a guide, I got you.
  • Candle gazing: Sit with a single flame. Notice what rises as your mind softens. Watch the fire dance, fierce and free. If it feels right, journal about what comes up.
  • Mindful walking: Leave your phone. Seriously. Put on some comfy walking shoes and let your feet guide you. See what answers arrive in rhythm. Stay connected to your breath.
  • Oracle pulls: Choose a card and reflect. Oracle cards are about sparking your inner reflection, not future fortune telling. Sit with the cards for a bit and listen.
  • Hand-to-heart pause: From Intuition and How the Body Speaks To You, a quick reset anytime you feel pulled in too many directions. Seems so simple, but have you tried it yet!? Powerful.

Pick one and start small. Intuition builds in the quiet moments of consistency. The tapas, or self-discipline, it takes to keep showing up. Proud of you 👏🏾.

A Gentle Reminder

You don’t need hours of meditation or elaborate rituals to connect to yourself. Even two minutes of presence can shift you from scattered to centered.

Intuition is not found in doing more, truly. Just begin by noticing. Pause, breathe, and notice how you feel. Notice how your body kives when you breathe. The little things.

The more your self-awareness grows, the easier it will be to connect. I have many practices, here and beyond, to work with this. Reach out anytime – let’s talk about it.

Practice Together: Inner Compass

While intuition is personal, it grows stronger in safe, reflective spaces. That’s why I created Inner Compass: a 3-month coaching container to pause, listen, and anchor into our inner knowing together.

When you sit in circle, you realize: you’re not the only one feeling the pull, the question, the crossroads.

Community reflects back the truth you already hold inside. As we close out the end of the year, how are you doing? 2025 has been a rough one.

I’d love 2026 to feel a bit different. Lighter perhaps?

If you do too, and want to do it together through deeper support, community and accountability, come join us inside Inner Compass.

Together, we strengthen our inner compass within.
