Most of us weren’t taught how to receive without guilt. We were taught to earn it. To check every box first and give to others until we’re too tired to ask for anything in return.
But your body was made to receive. Not just food and touch and air… but love, support, rest, nourishment.
And the truth is, you can only receive what your nervous system feels safe enough to allow in.
So perhaps it’s time to return again to this concept of resting and receiving. To release the constant pull toward doing, and quietly remember to simply being.
To be clear, to rest is not to quit.
It is to honor the body’s need for integration, repair, and clarity. It is to remember that slowing down isn’t falling behind.
It’s the alignment.
